What is Adventure Club?

A cumulative series of Bible lessons, games, and fellowship for kids age 4-11. It builds on the bigger picture of God's Holy Word and shares biblical themes across each of the three age groups.

An evening at Adventure Club includes:

  • A vetted Bible curriculum by John McArthur’s church, Grace Community Church.

  • Lesson review times and verse memorization sessions.

  • A variety of games for all.

  • Snacks.

  • Fellowship under strong Christians.

Learn more about the curriculum here.

If you have any questions or need help with club procedures, please feel free to call the club leadership.

How does a day at Adventure Club look?

Each Adventure Club night, parents will drop off and pick up their kids at Wick Hall. We will have a sign-in and sign-out sheet and a parent or guardian must come pick up kids, not siblings under 18 years of age.

Additional Information

  • Clubbers should not bring food, drinks, candy, or any inappropriate items including game consoles, tablets, or any device that will distract from adventure time. Cell phones should not be used, seen or heard during adventure time. If the device becomes a distraction then we will hold the item until AC is over and if you need to reach your child, call the Director Gary or Manager Renee. Please have the kids dress in appropriate attire that is modest and allows for them to be comfortable during game time, and tennis shoes are encouraged. Theme nights may change their normal attire, but it can still be appropriate and fun.

  • Clubbers can earn points each night. Each of the following is worth one point apiece:

    • Attendance

    • Bring AC verse cards

    • Bring Bible

    • Bring AC bag

    • Participate in theme night

    • Recite Central Truth

    • Recite Main Verse

    • Recite Bonus Verse

    • Parent initials (1 point per item)

    • Bring a friend

  • Small Groups:

When your kids arrive, they can find their small group leaders waiting to greet them. During small group time, they will talk about what each lesson means and spend more time helping the kids comprehend what the Lord wants us to learn from Scripture. This is the room where they will place stickers on their trail maps to keep track of their progress. The small group leaders are the ones who move with the kids to each session. They will also enjoy a small snack during this time.

    Verse Time:

This will be when our Central Truth and Main Verse will be explained and the kids will have the opportunity to recite them.

Please work on memorization at home.

    Lessons:

This is a time when the kids will listen to the teacher explain what the Bible says about biblical truths. We will be finishing up the 3rd book of the AC curriculum this year.

    Games:

The game leader will prepare a variety of pre-planned games that go along with theme nights and help the kids burn off some energy.

    Awards:

After each chapter is completed, the clubber will receive a pin that goes on their AC bag. They will be earning points each week to reach levels that allow them to pick a prize at the Adventure Club Store as well!

    Store:

On review and catch-up weeks during game time, there will be a variety of prizes for the kids to choose from based on their point level. Points will be kept on a chart in the leaders’ notebooks. We also want the kids to see their progress, so each week they will have a sheet of paper that has a "trail map" that they put stickers on for a "step by step," or point by point, to advance to the next level.
